Product Description
Painted on cotton canvas using traditional Tibetan methods, this Thangka features deep black and shiny gold colors, evoking a sense of stillness and a sacred aura. At the center is Medicine Buddha, the King of Medicine and Healing, seated in a lotus position. His right hand is extended over the right knee with palm facing inward, which represents offering the healing medicine inwardly first, stabilizing inner balance. His left hand rests in his lap, palm facing upward, holding a bowl filled with healing nectar, symbolizing immortality. He radiates compassion with a calm and serene expression.
Around him are other sacred deities and Bodhisattvas: Green Tara at the top left, associated with swift protection from danger and fear, Red Tara at the top center, symbolizing enlightened activity and energy, and White Tara at the top right, representing long life and healing. At the bottom right, Bodhisattva (Sunlight Radiance) represents the healing power of sunlight and vitality. Similarly, at the bottom right, Bodhisattva (Moonlight Radiance) represents the cooling and soothing qualities of moonlight.
Beyond decoration, this Thangka functions as a sacred map of enlightenment. Practitioners have long used it as a meditation focus, a teaching tool, and a source of blessings. Owning this authentic Nepalese thangka means surrounding yourself with harmony and the subtle presence of the sacred.
Vibrant mineral pigments paired with expert hand-painting bring this Buddhist thangka to life.

Natural Colors in Thangka
All the colors used in the thankgas are made from natural minerals. Ground into pigments, they carry the essence of the earth. Unlike artificial colors, these natural tones shine with honesty, adding depth, life, and spiritual meaning to each canvas.
