Product Description
Painted on cotton canvas using traditional Tibetan methods, this Thangka features actual 24K gold along with different contrasting colors of deep brown, green and blues. These combination of dark hues symbolizes the unity of all qualities within the deity. At the center is Lion Jambala, deity associated with prosperity, seated in a royal ease, seated on a white lion, symbolizing fearlessness and power. His right hand holds a Bijapura, a type of citrus fruit, which is a key symbol of abundance and fortune. The left hand holds a mongoose named Neula. This mongoose is a magical creature that spits out jewels and wealth, representing Lion Jambhala's ability to bestow great riches.
Surrounding the Lion Jambala are Green Tara on the top right symbolizing compassion and swift action and White Tara on the top left symbolizing longevity and healing. Similarly, we can see Manjushree on the bottom left representing enlightened understanding and Vajrapani symbolizing the power to overcome obstacles. The background shows a mountainous landscape with lush greenery and flowing waters, symbolizing stability, growth, and purification, framed by a deep blue sky with cloud formations that evoke the celestial realm.
The Lion Jambhala thangka is a powerful representation of the deity of wealth and prosperity. By meditating on this thangka, one can cultivate the courage and strength symbolized by the lion to face and conquer financial and personal difficulties. This thangka's presence in a home serves to attract abundance and positive energy, creating an environment of stability and security.
