Product Description
This beautiful Medicine Buddha Thangka is a perfect piece of classical Himalayan painting on fine cotton canvas. Its rich colors and minute gold details evoke an otherworldly and awe-inspiring aura. The rich crimson border has been applied to a scene of abiding calm in which the golden brilliance of the form of the Buddha is stunningly mixed with the rich black foliage.
At the center is Bhaisajyaguru, the Medicine Buddha, seated in calm meditation on a colorful lotus throne. He is seated in the Dhyana mudra, represents great concentration, and the shining lapis lazuli bowl held in his hands represents his authority to cure all pain. Two disciples stand on either side of him, their bodies depicted in minute detail, and around them six other Arhats stand in attitudes of profound respect. The auxiliary figures and the flowering lotus blossoms and dharma wheel at the foot of the throne add depth to the thangka in multiple layers of symbolic reference.
The whole piece emanates an aura of profound serenity and healing. The soothing face of the Buddha combined with the exquisite goldwork on his robe calls forth an abiding awareness of inner peace and clarity and is thus an effective meditation focal point. As both spiritual bridge and visual tool of instruction, this sacred piece invites you to partake of the ageless wisdom of the Buddhist tradition.
Bring to your life this treasured object of spiritual heritage, an enlightening and lyrical emblem designed to illuminate your journey to well-being, and inner equilibrium.

Natural Colors in Thangka
All the colors used in the thankgas are made from natural minerals. Ground into pigments, they carry the essence of the earth. Unlike artificial colors, these natural tones shine with honesty, adding depth, life, and spiritual meaning to each canvas.
Thangka in Modern Spaces
In modern spaces, thangkas bring together tradition and contemporary design. Once used mainly in temples, these sacred artworks now enhance homes, offices, and galleries with their vibrant colors and deep symbolism. They create harmony, inspire reflection, and serve as meaningful focal points in today’s interiors.
