Realizzato su tela di cotone con tecniche tradizionali tibetane, questo Thangka di Manjushri presenta blu intensi e gialli radiosi con tenui toni di bianco e verde, evocando un'atmosfera serena ma divina. La figura centrale, Manjushri, il Bodhisattva della Saggezza, siede in una posizione meditativa del loto, impugnando nella mano destra una spada fiammeggiante di intuizione, a simboleggiare il taglio dell'ignoranza, e raffigura il Vitarka Mudra con la mano sinistra, un gesto che simboleggia la trasmissione della saggezza e dell'insegnamento, mentre la sua espressione serena irradia illuminazione.
Intorno a lui, in basso a destra, c'è Vajrapani, raffigurato in una posizione possente. Cenresig è in basso a sinistra, irradiando compassione.
