Product Description

This radiant thangka, titled The Mandala of Eight Auspicious Symbols, is a sublime expression of Tibetan spiritual artistry.Meticulously hand-painted on fine cotton canvas using the traditional Himalayan thangka technique, it reflects the timeless precision, luminous detail, and meditative care passed down through generations of sacred artists.

At the heart of the composition lies a sacred geometric palace—a mandala filled with rich greens, vibrant purples, warm golds, and oceanic blues. Encircling the centre is a blooming lotus pattern, resembling purity and the unfolding of spiritual consciousness, with the seed syllable "Om" nestled in the core, symbolising primordial sound, spiritual awakening, and universal truth. Around the central area, there are “Eight Auspicious Symbols”: The parasol symbolises protection from suffering; the golden fish represents happiness and freedom; the treasure vase signifies spiritual and material wealth; the lotus embodies purity and spiritual awakening; the conch shell denotes the spread of Buddhist teachings; the endless knot illustrates interconnectedness and the union of wisdom and compassion; the victory banner stands for wisdom’s triumph over ignorance; and the wheel of dharma symbolises the Buddha’s teachings and the path to enlightenment. The mandala is encircled by lotus petals, symbolising.

The overall tone is both majestic and grounding, making this thangka ideal for meditation, sacred teaching, or ritual display. It radiates a sense of balance, protection, and spiritual abundance. Invite this thangka into your sacred space to awaken clarity, attract auspicious energy, and surround your life with the grace of Tibetan Buddhist wisdom.

The colors used in the thangka painting are sourced from minerals like lapis lazuli for blue, cinnabar for red, and malachite for green. These minerals are ground into fine powders and mixed with animal glue to form a vibrant medium.
