Product Description
This statue of Gautama Buddha was created by skilled artisans working with Lunzi Art. The entire statue is made of copper using the ancient lost wax casting method, and then hand-carved and polished to create exquisite patterns. It is partially oxidized to a coffee color (antique bronze) and gilded with a 24K gilded layer, making it quaint and sacred.
The Buddha's face is calm and peaceful, with his eyes downcast, symbolizing deep meditation. His hair is tied up in a prominent bun (ushnisha). The Buddha's right hand touches the ground in the "touching ground mudra", symbolizing the moment of Buddha's enlightenment. The left hand is in the meditation mudra, placed on the knee, holding an alms bowl, symbolizing deep meditation. The Buddha is dressed in a flowing robe with intricate patterns and no gorgeous jewellery. The fabric of the robe has a unique reddish-brown antique copper color. The statue sits in a meditative posture on an ornate double lotus base, representing spiritual purity and awakening.
