Full Gold-Plated Copper and Gold powder Painted "Seated Green Tara"

   This statue depicts Green Tara, which was carefully crafted by Santa Kumar Shakya, a famous artist officially certified by the Nepalese government. The base of the statue is cast in pure copper, gilded all over, and finally painted with gold powder on the surface. Using the ancient lost wax casting method, the statue was precisely shaped, and then hand-carved with detailed patterns, especially on her robes, decorations and throne, and then gilded with 24k gold on the surface, and finally painted with gold powder on the surface.

   Green Tara is depicted in a relaxed posture, her right leg slightly extended, her right hand resting on her knee, while her left hand is raised to her chest. Gracefully holding the stem of a blooming blue Utpala lotus, the lotus flower rises beside her shoulder.

   Green Tara is dressed in gorgeous clothes, naturally draped over her body, carved with auspicious symbols, floral patterns and sacred Buddhist symbols. Her celestial garments include an ornate five-leaf crown, earrings, necklace, bracelets and anklets, all of which are carefully crafted to symbolize her divine status.

   Green Tara’s facial expression is serene and compassionate, and a third eye is carved on her forehead, symbolizing extraordinary wisdom and omniscient perception. She sits on a beautifully carved lotus throne, symbolizing purity beyond the mundane world, and the base of the throne is decorated with layered lotus petals with delicate floral designs.

   This statue is not only a beautiful collectible art work, but also a ritual tool to assist practitioners in their advancement.
