Full Gold Plated Kadampa Style Stupa Chaitya Chorten

This Kadampa Style Stupa is crafted by artists working with Lunzi Art. This is a sacred Buddhist monument, which holds particular significance in Kadampa tradition. The stupa was cast using the ancient lost wax casting method, and then the intricate patterns were hand-carved and polished. The entire stupa is cast in fine brass and plated with 24K gold.

The lowest part of the stupa multi-layered circle symbolizes the earth and the foundation of the Dharma (teachings). There is a rounded, vase which represents the water element and the Buddha's body seated in meditation. A square, cube structure on top of the dome which represents the fire element and the Buddha's eyes. A tall, conical spire rising from the harmika, composed of multiple discs that taper upwards represents the air element and the Buddha's neck. The thirteen rings symbolize the thirteen stages (bhumis) of a Bodhisattva's path. At the very top of the spire, there's a decorative parasol which represents the Buddha's head. The topmost point of the stupa, a jewel symbolizes the ultimate enlightenment (nirvana), the Buddha's wisdom, and the preciousness of the Dharma.

This statue is not only a work of art that can be collected and appreciated, but also a magical instrument to assist practitioners in their advancement.
