Product Description
This extraordinary, hand-painted Bhavachakra Thangka, also known as the Wheel of Life, is a profound visual representation of the Buddhist teachings on existence, karma, and the path to liberation. At its center, a fierce red deity, Yama, the Lord of Death, clutches the entire wheel, symbolizing the impermanence of all existence and the cyclical nature of birth, death, and rebirth (samsara).
Within the great wheel, intricate scenes depict the Six Realms of Existence: the realms of gods, asuras (demi-gods), humans, animals, hungry ghosts, and hell beings. Each realm illustrates the consequences of specific actions (karma) and the suffering inherent in clinging to worldly desires. At the very hub of the wheel, a pig, snake, and rooster symbolize the three poisons—ignorance, hatred, and greed—which drive the cycle of existence.
The thangka’s vibrant colors and meticulous detailing, crafted with natural mineral pigments, bring these complex teachings to life. Beyond the wheel, a serene Buddha points to a path of liberation, offering hope and guidance to escape the cycle of suffering.
This exquisite thangka is more than a mere artwork; it is a powerful meditation aid and a teaching tool, offering deep insights into the nature of reality and the path to enlightenment. It is an inspiring addition for any home or meditation space, serving as a constant reminder of wisdom, mindfulness, and the journey toward liberation.

Natural Colors in Thangka
All the colors used in the thankgas are made from natural minerals. Ground into pigments, they carry the essence of the earth. Unlike artificial colors, these natural tones shine with honesty, adding depth, life, and spiritual meaning to each canvas.
