Product Description
This statue of Kagyu Mahakala was handcrafted by skilled craftsmen working with Lunzi Art. The statue was crafted using the traditional lost-wax casting technique, hand-carved with attention to detail, and carefully polished. Made from copper, it features an oxidized patina finish that enhances its intricate details and lends a refined, antique charm.
The statue’s facial expression is fierce and wrathful, yet filled with compassion, symbolizing the fierce protector’s power to destroy ignorance and obstacles. A magnificent five-skull crown rests on the head. In the right hand, a vajra chopper (kartika) is held high, cutting through ego; in the left, a kapala (skull cup) filled with immortal nectar. A khata (ritual scarf) drapes over the left shoulder. The figure is richly adorned with ornaments such as necklaces, earrings, and bone jewelry, and wears layered, intricately detailed robes that reflect sacred power. A garland of severed heads hangs around the neck. Seated in a dynamic posture on a beautifully detailed lotus pedestal.
This statue is not only a beautiful collectible art work, but also a Dharma instrument to help practitioners advance.
