This Medicine Buddha statue is made by a famous artist who works with Lunzi Art Company. It is cast in copper using the traditional lost wax method. After casting, the statue is carefully hand-carved and polished, and finally gilded with 24k gold using the ancient gilding technique, showing its exquisite craftsmanship and elegant shape.
The Medicine Buddha sits on a double lotus pedestal in a meditative posture, representing spiritual purity and awakening. His right hand extends downward in the Varada mudra, holding a botanical medicine in his hand, and his left hand holds a medicine bottle on his lap
The expression on the Medicine Buddha's face is calm and introverted, with downcast eyes and a subtle and serene smile, reflecting deep compassion and wisdom to heal diseases. His monk's robes are gracefully draped over his body, with his right shoulder bare, and the flowing lines and delicate carving convey simplicity and elegance. The thick curly hair and prominent ushnisha, adorned with a small pinnacle, crown the figure with traditional dignity.
