Copper Oxidized Face Painted Shakyamuni Buddha Statue
This exquisite seated statue of Shakyamuni Buddha was handcrafted by skilled craftsmen in collaboration with Lunzi Art. This statue is made of refined copper using traditional lost wax casting techniques, and its surface is oxidized to become antique copper in color. The face is meticulously hand-painted with gold pigments, with intricate details.
The statue has a serene and peaceful face, with lowered gaze, symbolizing profound meditation. The hair of the Buddha statue is coiled into a prominent bun (ushnisha). The statue touches the ground with its right hand and forms the Bhumi Sparsha Mudra, symbolizing the moment of enlightenment for the Buddha. The left hand forms a meditation seal, placed on the knee, holding a bowl, symbolizing profound meditation.
The statue is dressed in a flowing robe, which is draped over the shoulders and adorned with intricate patterns, without any exquisite jewellery. The Buddha statue sits in a meditative posture on a magnificent lotus throne.
