Hand-Painted Chengresi (Avalokiteshvara) Thangka

Painted on cotton canvas using traditional Tibetan methods, this Thangka features deep black and shiny gold colors, infused with serenity and divine light. At the center is Chengrisi, also known as Avalokiteshvara, the Bodhisattva of Compassion, in his four-armed form. His two hands are joined in a prayer gesture, holding a precious wish-fulfilling jewel, symbolizing his compassionate intention. His upper right hand holds a prayer bead, symbolizing continuous compassion for all sentient beings. His upper left hand holds a lotus flower, representing purity and enlightenment.
