Product Description
The Black Jambhala Ghau Locket is an incredibly potent talisman, representing the fierce and active aspect of the Buddhist God of Wealth. While all Five Jambhalas bestow prosperity, the Black Jambhala is particularly revered for his power to subjugate obstacles that prevent wealth and happiness, both external (poverty, bad debt) and internal (greed, ego, and stinginess).
Wearing this locket is a profound spiritual practice, bringing the energy of this wrathful manifestation of compassion directly to the practitioner.
Key Spiritual Benefits and Features
-
Destroys Financial Obstacles: His dark color symbolizes the immense power to overcome and absorb all forms of negativity, removing bad luck, theft, and financial difficulties.
-
Bestows Wealth and Abundance: As a form of Avalokiteshvara (Bodhisattva of Compassion), his core purpose is to relieve the suffering caused by poverty and grant both material resources and spiritual merit.
-
Conquers Ego and Greed: Black Jambhala is often depicted trampling a figure, symbolizing the defeat of ego, attachment, and the inner greed that blocks the flow of generosity.
-
Sacred Amulet (Ghau): The intricate metal Ghau casing acts as a protective, portable shrine for the miniature, hand-painted Thangka, ensuring the deity’s blessings are always close to the heart.
-
Iconographic Detail: The Black Jambhala is depicted with a mongoose spitting jewels (representing endless generosity) and a skullcup, transforming defilements into wisdom.

CONSECRATION OF PRODUCT
For requests for consecrations/blessings, we can take the thangka to monasteries or Rinpoches from the nearby Boudha Stupa. We kindly ask you to offer $50 for the monasteries for blessings/consecration services.
Natural Colors in Thangka
All the colors used in the thankgas are made from natural minerals. Ground into pigments, they carry the essence of the earth. Unlike artificial colors, these natural tones shine with honesty, adding depth, life, and spiritual meaning to each canvas.
Ghau Locket Thangka
A Ghau Thangka is a hand-painted, miniature Nepalese Buddhist scroll that is housed in an elaborate metal shrine. It is sometimes spelled Gau or Ghau. The living energy of enlightened deities, including Green Tara, Medicine Buddha, Mahakala, and Guru Rinpoche, is carried by this portable altar, which can be worn as a pendant or held near the heart. In contrast to regular jewellery, each Ghau Thangka is consecrated through ancient rabné (blessing) rituals by a qualified lama. The end effect is a talisman that, wherever you go, exudes healing, protection, and spiritual strength.
