Product Description
Painted on cotton canvas using traditional Tibetan methods, this Thangka features actual 24K gold along with different contrasting colors of green, red, blue, white, orange, pink and black. These colors help to guide a practitioner’s spirit through different layers of meditation and insight. At the center is Green Tara, embodiment of enlightened compassion, seated in a royal ease position with the right foot resting on a lotus flower and her left leg is tucked in. Her right hand is extended in the granting gesture, symbolizing her ability to grant wishes and give aid. Her left hand is raised to her chest in the teaching gesture, symbolizing the communication of enlightened knowledge. Both hands can be seen holding the stem of a blue lotus (Utpala) flower. The two lotus flowers symbolize purity and enlightenment.
Surrounding her are 21 different forms of Tara. These are depicted in various colors, including white, blue, red, yellow, and green, each representing a different benevolent action, such as healing, protection, or providing positive energy. The background is filled with lush greenery, trees, and brightly colored flowers, and water source which symbolizes flourishing of spiritual practice and flow of compassion.
This thangka depicting the 21 forms of Green Tara is a powerful spiritual tool that serves as a focal point for meditation and devotion. Each of the 21 Taras represents a specific enlightened activity, such as protection from fear, healing, and the granting of wishes. This thangka not only brings peace but also promotes harmony in your homes.

Natural Colors in Thangka
All the colors used in the thankgas are made from natural minerals. Ground into pigments, they carry the essence of the earth. Unlike artificial colors, these natural tones shine with honesty, adding depth, life, and spiritual meaning to each canvas.
